Great Animation Tool

This is my fourth year using Maya, and this book has a wealth of information. The video/project tutorials assist in quick references and techniques to navigate the program. You should be mindful how to apply these techniques to your individual projects. All graphics are legible and easy to understand; the character models change with each issue.

Good info, bad Kindle layout

This is a great book with lots of helpful info but I bought the Kindle edition to carry with me on my iPad and the formatting SUCKS!!! It is all screwed up. One page will have section 1, then 4, then 3 then 6... makes no sense. Don't you guys check your work? It does have great info but I feel cheated that it's so hard to read.

Exceeds expectations... clear screen shots, no disc (as expected) but website downloads (as expected) is far more sensible IMHO.

Revised for Maya 2014 and new features used in exercises. Lot of tips and asides from an authority on animation.

I wish I have had this dictionary growing up and learning English. I wish they would make it available online because it is a bit on the pricey side. I have been reading it like a novel and enjoy the various nuances of words and how each is employed uniquely in its own context. By all means, buy this dictionary!

I've always been impressed with the artwork with Warcraft, so books like these are always a treat. Although this one didn't have as much artwork as the first artbook the released "the Art of Warcraft", it still made an impact.

The book arrived a couple of weeks before I expected it, so that was great and I am very happy with the delivery process.

But I am not so happy with the book. It is not bad, but I think that there is too little concept art. I mean, in the race concept art, you find a lot of 3D images of the game and that's not concept, that's result, and I think they could have put more sketches or illustrations. The whole layup is a bit messy.

I bought this book beacause I am a big fan of wacraft and world of warcraft, and I expected as concept art book, something like the Starcraft 2 artbook. I imagine that this difference between layup quality is simply because they got better at doing them. That is the price of practice.

Anyway this book is a must have for all fans.

The book I got was in excellent condition, and when I looked through it. Wow! I was blown away. It's extraordinary. Such and incredible piece of art! There is so much to learn from the artists in it, and it'll be such a great inspiration. One of the best books I have ever bought!

Well, it was for a good cause

"The Doctor Who Cookbook" was conceived as a fundraiser for some charity (I don't have the book in front of me right now, so I don't remember which). TDWC, like many celebrity and TV show based cookbooks, is of interest to rabid fans only. In addition...well, I'm going to indulge in a bit of cultural bashing here and say that British cooking is not something that most non-Brits like. Also, there's the cringe-provoking tendency to give the items cutesy Who-based names. I guess the writers assume that all Who fans are aged 9 and under....
For the total whacko Who fan who owns everything already.

This is a great book. I use it as a guide on how to feed my husband who has cancer. His oncologist doesn't care one way or the other if the patient is on a ketogenic diet or not, but I certainly do, and the diet is good for the whole family. It's pretty hard to plan a meal without sugar, especially HFCS, or carbohydrates, but it can be done, and this book is very helpful. Although we supposedly have a good oncologist, he and his staff are totally dependent upon various products from big pharma that will bankrupt us to pay for. We pay a huge amount monthly for a really good insurance plan that includes a drug plan, but the drug plan also considers the cost of cancer drugs outrageous and won't help us out much. When a person is sick and dying of cancer, holding them hostage to pay for drugs that don't even work that well, is totally inhumane. There is a TV show about Greed. Boy do I ever have a nomination for them!

I have always believed in alternative and complimentary medicine. It is relatively cheap, can't be created by man, and can't be patented. Therefore, no president of any drug company can make seven or eight figure salaries for what our good Lord gave us to use sensibly for free. We just have to use our brains to figure it out and learn from what has gone before. Cancer will never be cured. There are too many millions of people whose jobs depend on sick people, especially cancer victims. Also, there are millions of people employed in making products that actually cause cancer.

Great book with lots of info

my only wish is that she had been more specific in her amounts. There is so much to try to grasp and when you have a death sentence on your head, you don't have a lot of time for research and trying to figure out grams carb amounts. i have visited several websites looking for specific amounts and they all bark back grams. i must be an old redneck... i just want to know how many almonds or olives. other than that minor irritation, i'm very grateful for her mountain of research and positive response to inquiry. i joined her facebook group and she immed. sent me more websites where i could inquire. This book could save my life and that is saying alot.

Easy read

I had heard of ketogenic diets in the past, but they were always referenced for weight loss. This book broadened my understanding of ketosis and it's varying applications for healing. I was first exposed to this book because my Mom had the Kindle version and read it aloud to me on a long road trip. The concept made so much sense to me I wanted to get a hard copy for myself to reference. I've since passed the book on to people I know who were battling cancer. One of them started the diet and has found a huge improvement in her numbers. Another is planning on starting the diet soon.

HUGE book. Don't know what else I was expecting, seeing as it has 1001 wines in it. Very nice presentation, lots of information about the wines listed in the book. I bought it as sort of a bucket list. Very excited to step out of my comfort zone and try some of the wine they recommend in this book.

Wide variety of wines

It's a good book of very different wines. Some are inexpensive some ultra expensive. The really nice thing is that it highlighted wineries that have other less expensive wines that I could try. It's a fun coffee table book.

I've Got A Lot Of Tasting To Do

I don't think I'm going to get to all 1001 wines before I die. But this book will help me choose the ones I do get to. Filled with great photos, lots of history, and all the facts you want to know about wine, this is an excellent book for both novices and knowledgable wine drinkers.
